黃美琦 vicki huang is a taiwanese-american singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, 3D artist, audiovisual storyteller, and amateur alchemist based in new jersey who draws inspiration from the deep reservoir of folk song and roots music. combining hybrid flavors of modern electronic elements with traditional folk idioms, from american folk blues to vintage taiwanese ballads, she seeks to use classic blues motifs and ancient archetypes to share taiwanese-american story songs. vicki is currently tracing the lineage of slide guitar and harmonica players and endeavors to compile her ethnomusicological investigative discoveries and present them in new multimedia works.
